The Fort Mill History Museum’s 5th annual Historic Homes Tour is December 14th, 2019. Talk of the Town Carolinas host Patti Mercer talked with Tamara Osborne to find out more about this annual museum fundraiser.
Experience some of Fort Mill’s most unique properties all decked out in their holiday finery! The unique collection of properties included with the $50.00 base ticket are the Belle Crane Inn, an Academy Street Mill House, the James Young House, Flint Hill Baptist Church, Flint Hill School House, the George Fish Memorial, and home to the Fort Mill History Museum, the Wilson House.
The most famous of all Fort Mill historic properties is the White Homestead. This $40.00 upgrade to the base ticket will be available as a guided tour presented either, Avery Close, granddaughter of Mrs. Anne Springs Close and great-granddaughter of Col. Elliot Springs, or Ann Evans, the Close Family Archivist. You can add this option to your basic ticket or choose this home as your single stop for the day if you’re pressed for time. All proceeds go to benefit the Fort Mill History Museum.
Also, December 13th, 2019, plan on attending the FMHM Holiday Soiree from 6:00 PM 9:00 PM. The Fort Mill History Museum presents a Holiday Soiree Winter Fundraiser at the Clebourne House for $65.00. There is a silent auction and open Bar at 6pm. Heavy hors d’oeuvres served at 6:30pm Festive Desserts, Wine, Beer, & Liquor. Purchase tickets for both events online at https://fmhm.org/events
