Once a small mill town, Fort Mill now has so much more to offer; from breweries to boutiques and everything in between. As a metro of Charlotte, Fort Mill and the surrounding areas are projected to continue growing due to the high demand for the great schools and friendly community. The city is constantly welcoming lots of new people and new businesses. Here is what is coming to the area in 2022!
Catawba Park: Construction has already started on Tega Cay’s newest park. The 62-acre area will include baseball and softball fields, 3 turfed multipurpose fields, amphitheater, large open play meadow, trails, playgrounds and concessions. This park is located off New Gray Rock Road and was originally slated to have construction for phase 1 and 2 complete by 2022.
Piedmont Medical: This long-awaited Fort Mill hospital & medical center is estimated to be complete by fall 2022. The center is located at the intersection of Highway 160 and Highway 21 near the Peach Stand.
Knowledge Perk: What Fort Mill needed most – a new locally-owned coffee shop! Knowledge Perk, a popular coffee shop in Rock Hill, is expanding into Crossroads Plaza later this year.

Bossy Beulah’s: Lots of Charlotte’s awesome restaurants are expanding to the Fort Mill area, one being this popular chicken shack! This spot will be located across from Walter Y. Elisha Park, at 314 N. White Street.
Duck Donuts: Fort Mill’s new favorite donut shop is located in Brayden Village. Duck Donuts just recently opened in January and is a huge hit already.
Illios Crafted Greek: Located in South End, this Greek spot will be opening a second location in Baxter Village.
Inizio Pizza Napoletana: Another Charlotte favorite. Hand-crafted with simple ingredients, this pizza won’t disappoint! Construction is underway at Brayden Village.
The Social Cork Wine Bar: The owners of this new business are aiming to create an inviting atmosphere for all wine lovers to enjoy, located on Gold Hill Road.

The Common Market: Originating in Plaza Midwood, this unique spot expanded to Rock Hill recently. Think of it as a modern general store plus some. Grab something from the deli, enjoy a coffee, sweet treat or a refreshing drink.
Hobos in Rock Hill: This FM spot is always popping! They have plans to expand to The Perch, a new development in Rock Hill.
Hoppin’: This self-pour beer and wine taproom is coming to Rock Hill this summer on Dave Lyle Boulevard.
TWF Burgers: Owner of Blue Smokehouse and The Office, James Rivenbark, is behind this new concept, so expectations are high! Munch on chicken tenders, burgers, fries and shakes. Rivenbark has selected a space on Gold Hill Road for TWF Burgers.

Flower Bar: This cool spot is rumored to open in Downtown Fort Mill. The original Flower Bar is located in Rock Hill, where you can create floral arrangements and slip on wine slushies!
Créatif: Construction has begun on this local art studio for both kids and adults located right off of Highway 160. Host a paint party, walk in for an impromptu date, or sign up for a workshop!
